Terry R. Weidner, 84, formerly of Fleetwood, passed away at Keystone Villa on Saturday, June 22, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.
Born November 14, 1939 in Long Branch, NJ, he was the son of the late Kenneth R. and Anna Naomi (Brown) Weidner. He and his wife of 63 years, Mary Ann (Zeigenfuse) Weidner, were married on May 30, 1961 in St. Joseph's Church, Reading.
Terry served his country honorably and faithfully in the United States Navy from 1957 to 1960. He also spent time in the United States Naval Reserve.
Terry worked as an engineer for Lucent Technologies, retiring after 36 years. He had served on the Fleetwood Borough Council, the Fleetwood Planning Commission, the Fleetwood Zoning Board, Fleetwood Ambulance and also volunteered with the SMILES program at Fleetwood Area School District.
Terry received his associate's degree from Temple University and enjoyed traveling, computer, and miniature schnauzers.
In addition to his wife, Mary Ann, Terry is survived by his three children, Kenneth R. Weidner, husband of Susan R. (Locke) Weidner, Topton, Richard T. Weidner, husband of Gloria J. (Rokosky) Weidner, Fleetwood, and Susan J. (Weidner) Greth, Salem, New York. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Brittany, Joshua, Matthew, Caroline and Wyatt, his sister-in-law, Lois Zeigenfuse, Douglassville, and by his 7 nieces and nephews.
Services for Terry will be held privately. Burial will take place in St. John's Cemetery, Birdsboro.
