Theodore P. "Ted" Kazmar, Jr., 78, of Muhlenberg Township, passed away on Monday, July 18, 2016, in the loving arms of his family.
Born December 15, 1937 in Mahanoy City, PA, he was the son of the late Theodore P. and Pauline (Stremba) Kazmar Sr. Ted and his wife of 21 years, Mary L. (Henderson) Kazmar were married on September 16, 1994 in Elkton, MD.
Ted was a dedicated long time employee of Burkey Construction, Reading. He finished his career with Burkey as a General Superintendent and had worked with the company for over 45 years. During his career and after, Ted was a member of the carpenters union and loved to help others with fixing anything, earning the name Mr. Fix-It. He was a woodworker, loved working with computers and was an avid photographer.
Ted was a 1955 graduate of Governor Mifflin High School and served his country honorably in the United States Army Reserves and the Air National Guard.
In addition to his wife, Mary, Ted is survived by his children, Kurt Kazmar, Mohnton, Kris Kazmar, husband of Janella Santiago, Harleysville and Jenna M. Kazmar, at home. He is also survived by his brother, Gerald Kazmar, husband of Connie Kazmar, New Jerusalem.
Services for Ted will be announced at a later date.
