Troy A. Hinkle

Troy A. Hinkle, 54, of Rockland Twp, passed away on Mon, June 29, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Born December 26, 1960 in Pottstown, he was a son of Shirley J. (Merkel) Hinkle, Rockland Twp, and the late Earl K. Hinkle.

Troy and his wife, Christine (Dennis) Hinkle, were married on June 28, 1980 in Pottstown. They celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary on Sunday.

Troy was employed as a Quality Assurance / Inventory Manager at QVC's Lancaster Distribution Center for the past 17 years. Prior to that, he was Operations Manager at his family business, Slack Shack, Pottstown, from 1969 to 1997. He was a member of St. Alyosius R.C. Church, Pottstown and the Pottstown Elks Club. He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan and an all around do-it-yourself handyman. He loved to travel with Christine and especially enjoyed international and fine foods.

Surviving in addition to his wife and mother are two sons, Ryan M., husband of Sara E. (Rabold) Hinkle, New York City, NY and Tyler N. Hinkle, Fiance' of Anjuli M. Gupta, Hanover Twp, PA. Troy is also survived by his grandson, Dylan J. Hinkle, granddaughter, Sadie M. Hinkle and brothers, Thomas A. Hinkle, Lebanon and Terry A. Hinkle, Pike Twp.

Funeral Services for Troy will be held on Friday, July 3, 2015 at 1 pm at Walbert Funeral Home & Cremation Services, PC, 14390 Kutztown Rd, Fleetwood, with the Rev. Gary L. Walbert, officiating. Viewings will be held Thursday evening from 6 to 8:30 pm and Friday from 12 noon until time of services at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
