Ty E. Bergsman

Ty E. Bergsman, 55, of Maidencreek Twp, passed away on Friday, December 2, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Born April 22, 1961 in Allentown, he was the son of Carol (Ruth) Bergsman, Catasauqua, and the late Elmer P. Bergsman. He and his wife of 27 years, Lori A. (Forlini) Bergsman, were married on November 3, 1989.

Ty was a lifelong steelworker. He spent over 20 years working for Metropolitan Steel Company, Sinking Spring, in layout and as a fitter. He also worked for RV Industries, Honey Brook and Rees Companies.

He attended Catasauqua High School and was a member of the Ontelaunee Rod and Gun Club. He was an avid outdoorsman and survival man, enjoying hunting, fishing, hiking and camping. He truly enjoyed his Harley Davidson and Buell motorcycles.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Lori, are his two children, Amber L. Bergsman, Manheim and Ty A. Bergsman, at home. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Wade Bergsman, Whitehall, Terri (Bergsman) Wilson, wife of James Wilson, Allentown, Mark Bergsman, Alburtis and Tracy (Bergsman) Peifly, Emmaus, his nephew Tyler Martin, Emmaus and his special buddy and Granddog, Roscoe.

Memorial Services for Ty will be held on Sunday, December 11, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Walbert Funeral Home & Cremation Services, PC, 14390 Kutztown Rd, Fleetwood. A visitation will be held from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Ty's family asks that all who plan to attend dress casual, it's what Ty would have wanted.
