Mrs. Verna M. (Sheetz) Guinther

Mrs. Verna M. (Sheetz) Guinther, 102, of Wyomissing, passed away on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at Country Meadows, Wyomissing.

Born June 30, 1919 in Rockland Township, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Hettie H. (Cronrath) Sheetz. Her husband, Adam F. Guinther, passed away in 1985.

Verna worked for Jay El Manufacturing, Fleetwood, and was a longtime member of New Jerusalem Lutheran Church, Fleetwood. She spent many years caring for her son, Dennis, and always kept her home neat and organized. She also enjoyed dining out.

Verna is survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Verna was preceded in death by her son, Dennis A. Guinther, in 2018. She was also the last surviving child of her parents. Her brothers and sisters that passed away before her were Helen, Carrie, Lester, Ernest, Paul, Earl and Jacob.

Funeral Services for Verna will be held on Thursday evening, November 4, 2021 at 7:00 pm, at Walbert Funeral Home & Cremation Services, PC, 14390 Kutztown Rd, Fleetwood, with Rev. Ruth F. Doty, officiating. A viewing will be held on Thursday from 6:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.

Burial at the convenience of the family will take place in New Jerusalem Cemetery, Fleetwood.
