William A. Burkman

William A. Burkman, 85, of Ruscombmanor Township, passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at Tower Health Reading Hospital, West Reading, PA.

William was born on July 3, 1935 in Grill, PA. The love of his life, Marion E. (Rickenbach) Burkman, passed away on September 29, 2015 after 52 years of marriage.

William proudly served his country honorably and faithfully as a member of the United States Army.

William worked previously for Ashley Furniture and was a carpenter. He enjoyed playing games on the computer and watching television. His favorite show was Ridiculousness.

William is survived by his grandsons, Christopher L. Burkman, husband of Nana (Park) Burkman, Ruscombmanor Township and Justin A. Burkman, Ruscombmanor Township. He is also survived by his great-granddaughter, Breaze M. Burkman and by a brother.

In addition to his wife, Marion, William was preceded in death by his son, William Adam Burkman and several siblings.

A visitation will be held for William on Friday, October 23, 2020 from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm at Walbert Funeral Home & Cremation Services, PC, 14390 Kutztown Rd, Fleetwood, PA. Interment will be in Laureldale Cemetery.
